A church in a small market town in Cumbria is using the Ephesian Fund

We’re really excited about what God is doing in Ulverston and through this church. In July I had the privilege baptising seven people in Coniston Water, mainly younger people. So we’re thrilled to see what God is doing and how people are connecting with God through the church, through online, in so many different ways. The decision we made to use the Ephesian Fund enables many people who would otherwise not give to the Church of England to continue giving.

I think the really important thing was to help everybody to think this through. Conversations haven’t always been easy. It can be complex, understandably, and we’re all invested, in our own relationships and friendships and things? But we need to have these conversations in these days.

The consequences of shifting away from our inherited beliefs on core things like sex, marriage, relationships has consequences we can’t even begin to imagine. Don’t be afraid clergy. Do bring it to your PCCs. Do it for your own consciences. Do it for the Lord.
